About CakeFX
CakeFX is the commercial outlet for cake designer, Burton Farnsworth, specializing in novelty and sculpted cakes. Burton's designs have won awards in shows and competitions in the Maryland/DC/Virginia area as well as Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Burton celebrated his first anniversary in cake decorating by traveling to the internationally recognized Oklahoma State Sugar Arts Show in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Though not yet a professional decorator, he earned First Place in the Semi-Professional Division.
Burton's work continues to attract awards just as his behavior attracts quizzical looks and raised eyebrows. He also teaches cake sculpting classes in Northern Virginia and has recently become an itinerant teacher of sugar and chocolate sculpting classes.
